Garrett's Baptism

This was an exciting week for Garrett. He has been asking us a lot of questions lately and awhile ago he prayed to ask Jesus into his heart. We weren't sure how much he understood. He asked to speak to the pastor starting on Monday, then kept putting it off saying he would do it tomorrow until Thursday came. Then he told me he was ready and went and prayed with the pastor and asked him to be baptized. This was really big for him because he is scared of having water in his face and still wanted to do it. I was thinking he would get scared and change his mind this morning. I knew that if God wanted him to be baptized today he would help him through it and he did! The only sad thing is that Doug had to fly out early in the morning and he missed it. Garrett was too excited about it to put if off longer. Luckily my brother-in-law was able to take pictures so Doug will be able to see them.

Praise God, Stacy.. That is the most exciting new I have heard all week.
3 of my 4 kids have asked God into there Heart and that is just the best thing ever but to have one follow Him in baptism is just amazing.
Princess was saved at 5 years old and I wasn't sure she understood compeletly about being baptised so we just talked and I never asked her if she wanted to do it, I felt that if God was leading her she would ask us.. well she did and I put it off thinking maybe she needed to be a bit older.. but after me putting it off and DH and I not taking her to our Pastor, one sunday after church Princess(who is not shy at all) walked over to our Pastor he said hello to her and she said "I want to be baptised but my mom keeps forgetting to tell you" LOL.. So he talked with her and on Mothers day of 2002 she was baptised.
Mr Man excepted Jesus into his heart when he was 4 years old in April 2004, and Sweet Pea just got saved on Sept 20, 2006. Mr Man is just now talking with us about being baptised and Sweet Pea I don't think understands it all just yet.

I'm so happy for you and DH and Garrett.. Thank you for sharing this with us. :)
